Information about my books & methods!
I was really inspired by and interested in Nordic Mythology, in particular TROLLS! I found the wonderful books of Brian Pilkington and found the whole ideas and stories behind the books simply extraordinary.
This section of my website explores the work I made for two picture books at university. You can see the journey from developmental work, refining the concepts and finalised illustrations.
For this effort I made a conscious effort to explore and use analogue textures as much as possible. However, I did manipulate and experiment with them on Photoshop.
Far right - Character sketch I really liked a lot.

FAVOURITE SPREADS! BELOW X2
My favourite spreads from my book. I was really happy with the way I brought analogue textures together & how I put them together on Photoshop. I thought that these spreads really shows the way I want to illustrate picture books.
